Yesterday's strong seismic activity in the Atlantic just off the western tip of the island of El Hierro produced more than 150 shocks of which 14 were of magnitude 4 to 4,7 on the Richter scale. Several of the latter were also felt to a small degree on neighbouring Canary Islands including La Gomera.
