It's been a windy day yesterday in the Canary Islands, but today the north-easterly gales should ease gradually and we'll be back to dry, sunny conditions with moderate winds, dominated by high pressure. The chart for Friday looks promising (unless you pray for rain):

That’s a pretty good round up, although I’d add that the scenery on La
Palma is incredibly varied for the size of the island. Much of it is lush, yes, but the very southern tip looks like Mars. And the summit sometimes gets snow in winter.
Well, here on La Gomera the highest peaks are about 3000 feet lower than those on La Palma - so we don't get the snow. The landscape is just as stunning, though.
