I was wondering if you would be happy to answer a few questions about La Gomera? I'm provisionally scheduled to visit in December, but can't seem to find much information online about if many things on the island are open, given the current situation with coronavirus.
I would be looking to find out if restaurants and cafes etc. are open in Valle Gran Rey, and also if the museums etc. are open in San Sebastian? I was also wondering if you knew if anything such as boat trips/day tours of the island etc. are happening. I'd emailed a few different companies, but haven't heard back.
Apologies if these aren't the sort of questions that you can answer! It would be great if you could reply by email, instead of publishing the comment. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Sorry, but I can't reply to you by email as as you haven't provided your e-address in your comment. I get notified of all comments by email for moderation, but the origin always is blogspot.com and I can't reply to individual mails through that. As the sidebar on my blog under the heading ''How To Comment'' clearly states: ''...If you want to contact me privately please leave your email address in a comment not to be published...'' Now to answer your questions: As the 'Corona virus' situation is changing constantly, and often at short notice, there are no definite rules. Some businesses are open, some are not yet, and some have closed forever. You will however be able to get everything you'll need in La Gomera and you will find open bars and restaurants, all with the usual restrictions and amended opening times. A few excursions and boat trips also take place, again with reduced capacity, etc.... If your emaisl to certain companies were not answered it probably means that they are closed. Keep trying to find the open ones, and I hope you'll have a pleasant holiday.
